Those arrested who have links to Sweden are also the subject of an investigation into their suspected preparation to commit a terrorist offence also in Sweden. We cannot give any further information about the investigation at this time. The leader of the investigation is Tomas Lindstrand, Chief Prosecutor at the Public Prosecution Office for Security Cases.

The arrested people are not, to our knowledge, connected in any way to the attack in Stockholm on 11 December this year.

Currently there is no assessed change to the terrorist threat level against Sweden as a result of these arrests.

Press conference this afternoon

At 17.00 today, a press conference will be held at the Danish Security Service head office at Klausdalsbrovej 1, 2860 Soborg.  The Director General of the Danish Security Service, Jakob Scharf and the Director General of the Swedish Security Service, Anders Danielsson, will be present.
