The inquiry leader is Agnetha Hilding-Qvarnström at the Public Prosecution Office for National Security. Due to the ongoing investigation the Swedish Security Service and the inquiry leader are at present unable to communicate any further details.
Threat level to Sweden unchanged
The threat level to Sweden has remained unchanged since 1 October 2010, when it was raised by one step, from low to elevated. New threat assessments are produced on a regular basis, and may lead to changes in the threat level. The National Centre for Terrorist Threat Assessment (NCT) is responsible for assessing threats to Sweden and Swedish interests abroad. Their assessments rest both on what is known today and what can be said about possible future developments.
Five regional units with regional offices across the country are responsible for the Service's activities in a number of counties.
